file Strange Object From Curiosity Sol 574 Image

This object was taken by the Curiosity Rover left mastcam on Sol 574. A strange multi-colored object, or group of objects, sit out on the horizon. The right side of the object somewhat resembes the nose of a high speed train or missile. It reminds me of this object that Will found back in Mach of 2014.

Yes, it is bizarre. I could swear there's an eye painted on it's "tail", on the left end that curls toward the camera.

Pretty neat. I went into the PDS and looked at it as well. I need to learn how to use the 9MB files from the B&W grid to color. pds-imaging.jpl.nasa.gov/data/msl/MSLMST_0006/DATA/RDR/SURFACE/

Maybe you guys have seen this before, but I just came across it a few days ago. IMG2PNG utility

I didn't have a lot of time to play around with it yet but I was able to successfully create a thumbnail from the PDS files. I haven't been successful in creating a Full Data Product yet but really haven't put much time into it.

I've tried IMG2PNG with no luck so far, not sure what I'm doing wrong, it seems straight forward enough on the surface. I can view them in nasaview by opening the .lbl file but they won't save.

Thank you to everyone who has stuck by the YouTube channel and to all of our admins and forum users here on the channel.   They really have kept the website current while I have been busy taking care of things in my personal life.   I promised that the next video would be a long one and have a LOT to look at.  You can get lost in these Gigapans and I really hope that you do!  I spent a lot of time stitching these together and making sure that they were the best quality that I could get them.  SOL 1448 really has been a goldmine for anomaly hunters and those people who are just hobbiest.  I really hope you enjoy this one and expect much more to come from the latest batches of images!
