My question is: How could this be produced naturally, and not by intelligent manipulation? It will be intersting to see what NASA comes up with.

I saw your comment and then found this article when I typed "ravioli" in a news search. :cheer:

This is the moon in the A ring that turns Encke gap particles into ringlets from its gravitational influence, so I'm not surprised it has a circular "bumper" around it. Those ringlets look like exhaust when being created behind Pan . Some links of Pan in action below.

Thanks. That article is where I got the idea from, so I turned "Ravioli" into a link and embedded it into my post. I clicked all your links. However, I am still unceratin as to how the physics works.

Please, if you know or have an idea, explain or overview the physics involved. (Don't hesitate to include some calculus equations as I toy with advance calculus and quaternions, though tensors give me trouble.)

Any other article(s) links will be helpful.

Thank you to everyone who has stuck by the YouTube channel and to all of our admins and forum users here on the channel.   They really have kept the website current while I have been busy taking care of things in my personal life.   I promised that the next video would be a long one and have a LOT to look at.  You can get lost in these Gigapans and I really hope that you do!  I spent a lot of time stitching these together and making sure that they were the best quality that I could get them.  SOL 1448 really has been a goldmine for anomaly hunters and those people who are just hobbiest.  I really hope you enjoy this one and expect much more to come from the latest batches of images!
