Unique Crater on the Far Side was created by Todd

This is AS08-12-2062, an Apollo 8 70mm b/w hasselblad frame taken of an unnamed crater on the far side of the Moon. The image below was processed from the NASA/JSC/ASU raw original tif scan.

Below I enlarged the crater and rotated it 90° left for orientation purposes. The edge fill takes up around 1/3rd of the crater floor and has horizontal striations that create something of a terraced effect. The striations appear similar to what is left behind after an excavation of mine materials. There are features just below the edge that look more like rectangular cave entrances than impact or volcanic events.

Thank you to everyone who has stuck by the YouTube channel and to all of our admins and forum users here on the channel.
