These 70mm color Hasselblads taken by the crew of Apollo 13 have always made me wonder. As I often say on here, the Apollo photography, and early Lunar photography in general, are plagued with numerous problems, from execution to the post processing phase. Reflections, emulsion scratches, chemical / water spots, etc. all affect the Apollo films in a negative way to distract from the Lunar subject itself. Frame AS13-60-8608 & AS13-60-8609 have this curious flash / reflection present.

What makes it odd is that it shows up in exactly the same place on the Lunar surface even though in between frames, the spacecraft and camera has moved. I would think it was an object or a strange reflection or flash off of something that likely shouldn't be there if it weren't for frame AS13-60-8622.

Frame AS13-60-8622 shows the same sized anomaly out in space 13 frames later. This leads me to believe it was an occasional reflection in the LM window from an object inside the craft and the placement of the "object" in frame 08 & 09 were likely just coincidental. The images are frequently shown separately with little context. Frame AS13-60-8622 is often referred to as a UFO, the other earlier frames have had various interpretations. What do you think? The images were processed from the NASA/JSC/Arizona State University raw tif scan.

Thank you to everyone who has stuck by the YouTube channel and to all of our admins and forum users here on the channel. They really have kept the website current while I have been busy taking care of things in my personal life. I promised that the next video would be a long one and have a LOT to look at. You can get lost in these Gigapans and I really hope that you do! I spent a lot of time stitching these together and making sure that they were the best quality that I could get them. SOL 1448 really has been a goldmine for anomaly hunters and those people who are just hobbiest. I really hope you enjoy this one and expect much more to come from the latest batches of images!
