“LAWN ORNAMENT” in X3D Stereo

Today’s context view shows another sandy debris field in which we find so many intriguing anomalies. On the right-hand side about half way up, two tiny, dark eyes seem to be staring at us from the red sand.
Moving in for a detail shot, we find, well, an alien lawn ornament! Of course I’m being facetious, but it certainly DOES have the typical alien “gray” look, complete with head and shoulders and even seeming to have crossed arms in front of it.
It’s probably just a fortuitous arrangement of rocks. But then, there’s that old bugaboo: how does the wind know how to carve equally-sized eyes the proper distance apart? How does it know to make a nose, cheekbones and a mouth right where they’re supposed to be? And what about those shoulders...and arms (if that’s what they are)? And then doing all of the above on one rock in one place?
Pretty amazing, if you ask me!

“SO, HOW DO I VIEW X3D STEREO?”
Simple! While viewing the stereo pair at a comfortable distance, gently cross your eyes (no eye-strain) until you perceive three images all the same width. The one in the center is in 3D. Just relax into it and your eyes will automatically bring it into focus. Once you have it, you will never forget how to do it. Kinda like riding a bicycle…
