Some of you may have noticed that for the last few months the MastCams have been looking downward; that is, the elevation angles of the released images has pretty much been less-than-zero (below horizontal).

As the map pin indicates in the attached photo, as of SOL 995, Curiosity is just starting to move into a position where the actual peak of Mt. Sharp is visible from 'ground level'.  Lat/lon data for the pin is taken directly from the official Curiosity log file at http://mars.jpl.nasa.gov/msl-raw-images/locations.xml, converted to a Google Earth map pin, and plugged into Global Mapper.

I'm really hoping that NASA will point the MastCams upward (above horizontal) and generate a really impressive panorama.

5/30/2015 will be Curiosities 1000th Day on Mars. With a mountain of science data and hundreds of thousands of images collected, what have we learned so far? Well the answer to that is simple, it has learned exactly what it was designed for, and will learn nothing else. They will however for years to come, re-affirm that Mars has water, and the planet was habitable.

The newest images from NASA's Curiosity Rover have been angering and facinating anomaly hunters and enthusiasts alike.  The poor quality of the "Raw Images" has been getting some researchers frustrated but many like myself had predicted that this was going to happen as the Rover approached the area of Mt. Sharp that it is currently at.   Why you ask?  Fossils, Buildings, Statues, Seeping Water and that is only scratching the surface.  We can only do so much with the poor quality images that the rover is sending back lately but that surely isn't going to stop us from our hunt!  The video below entitled Mars = Uncle Jake's Junkyard From Martian Civilizations Past is a great example of the sheer amount of debris in the currrent area.  So grab a drink, turn the lights off, kick off the shoes and lets take a stroll through the debris fields of Mount Sharp.  

Just like most Mars Anomaly images there is always a lot of people who come and watch and have already judged the video before even watching.  I ask you to please open your mind and watch the following video and view the enhanced versions of each anomaly below before rendering judgment!

The more and more I look at these images I am convinced that they are being manipulated as well as objects being added or taken from the picture with the use of blur tools and "fake sand".  The image in this video is from SOL 976 and is a doozy.  There is stuff everywhere.  Let your eyes take the time to adjust to the image and let me know below what I missed!  Much love to everyone!  Thanks to Rory over at Raw Spirit for showing us some of these anomalies!

"What looks very much like a parked UFO or disc/saucer shaped building structure on a ledge on Mars with large windows. This "Jupiter 2" looking object must be very large indeed to even show in this Mars Orbiter image taken from a height of 23.4 km.

This is not one of those smoking gun videos that proves life on Mars like I feel I have sufficiently done in the past three years of creating videos and articles on our website http://www.whatsupinthesky.com as well as where we started at http://www.youtube.com/whatsupinthesky37.  We are about to pass over 7 million views on our videos and well over 2 million on the website.  People are interested in why the pictures of Mars look eerily similar to those taken on earth.  The ruins can be examined, even the overhead satellite shots show certain structures such as pyramids and various cities on the "Red Planet".  Stay tuned for more anomalies and eventually a worldwide disclosure that will come to us all.  Enjoy the video!
