Spirit Rover Sol 555 & 558: Fossil from Ancient Martian Sea Life? was created by Todd

These are sub frame EDR images taken by Spirit Rover's panoramic camera on sol 555 & 558 while on the " Path to the Summit. " Initially my eye was drawn to the center sample, the one that looks a melted gargoyle head, (

) but directly to the right of it, is a piece that strongly resembles a Goniatite fossil, a type of Ammonoid . I processed the images from the PDS raw .img files and combined them for RGB color. Following the full size sub frame versions are enlargements.

Thank you to everyone who has stuck by the YouTube channel and to all of our admins and forum users here on the channel. They really have kept the website current while I have been busy taking care of things in my personal life. I promised that the next video would be a long one and have a LOT to look at.
