I thought I’d go ahead and tag on here and add my 2 cents worth:

It seems to me that, given the necessary resources, a person could use software to construct 3-D images of most, if not all, of the “stones” in all the images together from Mars, not to mention every other body in the Solar System for which images exist. (Using images from different perspectives, parallax calculations could be done to acquire the Z-axis coordinates.)

After constructing 3-D images, another program could be run that matches the various surfaces of the images to see if any of them fit together into larger pieces. If this is done, these larger pieces may give a much better indication of any structures, buildings, machines, statuaries and other intelligently manufactured items that may be in the images.

Once this is done, an approximation of their functionality may be hypothesized, thus allowing them to be assembled into functional complexes or groups of structures. Then a map of how such a civilization’s technology fit together, if one is indicated by the data, may be constructed; i.e. maps of cities, zones, & such.

Personally, I suspect that this may have already been done…in a room somewhere behind several locked doors.

That is one excellent idea there, CQ. ;)

Here's a 9707 x 4284 composite made from twenty of the right mastcam images taken on sol 1598. I'll probably put a larger one together when the PDS raw .img files get released.

Thank you to everyone who has stuck by the YouTube channel and to all of our admins and forum users here on the channel.   They really have kept the website current while I have been busy taking care of things in my personal life.   I promised that the next video would be a long one and have a LOT to look at.  You can get lost in these Gigapans and I really hope that you do!  I spent a lot of time stitching these together and making sure that they were the best quality that I could get them.  SOL 1448 really has been a goldmine for anomaly hunters and those people who are just hobbiest.  I really hope you enjoy this one and expect much more to come from the latest batches of images!
