MSL Curiosity Rover - Sol 1439 Right Mastcam Composite - Pds - Enlarged Sharpened (2 Versions)

(I couldn't choose between the two colour variations - so here's both of the versions I was working on side by side)

The PC is kinda Glowing this morning... The Sol 1439 Gigapan with twin images nailed the CPU and Ram until you could fry an egg on there!

Looks round for a desk fan....

Yeah, I see what you mean. At first, I liked the lower one best, but then looking again I like the upper one. Hard to say. Plus, I have the blue light suppressor turned on on my Mac so the colors are messed with any way. I'm doing the blue light thing as an experiment to see if it helps my vision and eye fatigue. I think I'm going to order some blue light filtering ("gaming") glasses to see if that helps ... not sure if it's a scam or not.

Glitch ... get yourself a Mac with solid state "hard drive". My MacBook Pro doesn't even have a fan, and Apple is supposed to be superior for image processing anyway. :) All you need is a couple thousand spare pounds (I don't know how to make the pound symbol). :)

I've got 62 pence stashed behind the Sofa... erm .. a piece of string and a dead frog? Anyone fancy a trade?

Hey, I'll have you know this PC was state of the art in 1982!! ...... Once we retro fitted the valves with these 4bit intergrated chip 'On' board circuit gizmo's ....... :woohoo:

I used one of those things in your first picture in engineering school ... then someone invented the slide rule (no kidding on the last part ... calculators had not come on the scene yet when I was in school ... during a test, slide rules would be smoking. Post Versalog here).

I used a circular slide rule many years ago. All I remember is that it was round.

Thank you to everyone who has stuck by the YouTube channel and to all of our admins and forum users here on the channel.   They really have kept the website current while I have been busy taking care of things in my personal life.   I promised that the next video would be a long one and have a LOT to look at.  You can get lost in these Gigapans and I really hope that you do!  I spent a lot of time stitching these together and making sure that they were the best quality that I could get them.  SOL 1448 really has been a goldmine for anomaly hunters and those people who are just hobbiest.  I really hope you enjoy this one and expect much more to come from the latest batches of images!
