SOL 1197 Flat-sided Knoll was created by dude

this feature just looks too laid-out & planned to be done by nature. I think it has some purpose; maybe a solar panel or could it be a hanger door?

Admittedly, it does look a bit strange. Any idea how it looks when zoomed in (don't know if there's a gigapan of this area or not)?

Ok I think this is the location closer in, on Sol 1192 - It features in the Large mosaic from this Sol;

Sorry if I have it wrong, just a few things line up / compare like the 2 "objects" on the Knoll next to the flatter 'Sand' (Regolith?) covered knoll.

Right - best get my head out of Mars, and into work... :whistle:

Ha! Did you ever make it into work with any degree of lucidity? I'm retired so insomnia doesn't matter for me.

The center one of the 3 pictures you posted seems to have the best view ever of the "flat knoll". It still looks strange and makes one want to zoom in for a closer look.

Thank you to everyone who has stuck by the YouTube channel and to all of our admins and forum users here on the channel.
