So do you think it's to hide something in the foreground? I would have cropped the mosaic higher up if I was trying to hide something.... however if they hid something it wouldn't surprise me in the least ;) It almost feels like NASA are dangling the carrot within licking distance but wont give us the whole bite...

It's a great mosaic non the less :cheer: , there are lots of interesting things going on... I must mooch over these earlier Sol's a bit more! :woohoo:

Thanks for posting this up Badsneaker.

 In these M-100 R-Cam images, the right Mastcam is likely focused at the full 100 mm focal length so anything too close will be blurry. I think the real blurry frames are the enlarged, out of focus thumbnails from both cams.

If NASA was trying to hide something, they'd do a better job. As Todd says, they'd just crop the entire lower portion out. I can't see NASA PhotoShopping things out at all. If they don't want you to see something, they just wouldn't publish the picture at all.

I was being facetious. Yet there are any number of images with the rover in the shot, some even closer. I just got to wondering why some of shots of the rover in this pano were blurred out when it really wasn't necessary.

NASA tries to be clever in hiding things in the images, this case it was obvious something else is at work here. What it is, I have no clue. Maybe I can find another source of images that do not show the blurring.

Thanks for your reviews.

They were probably just blurring out the license plate number on Curiosity .... :P
