I don't really see anything especially stunning (surprising, huh? :P ).

When we look for structures, and we looking for crude caves, built stone structures like our ancestors constructed a few thousand years ago built with blocks or rubble, something elaborate like ziggurats, or exoctic carvings like Petra?

Are you sure, what if I post up 15 images the same but in various psychedelic colours ?? :whistle: :pinch: ;)

Well that is a question to ponder, Personally I think these are martian made into the cliffs - but were these made by a dying civilization, or well before the cataclysm occurred?...

If well before then there is a good possibility we are seeing only the remains of something as beatuiful as Petra - that didnt get swept away by the sloshing of the oceans around the planet - they will look more crude obviously as the fine detail and finish is no longer there....


If they were made by a civilization clinging onto life and following the dwindling water resources, then there would be no point being elaborate, survival would be the main aim of the game.. functionality over beauty.

All my waffle aside, there are things Geology just cant explain i'm sure... But to coin a phrase used by Will "You see what you see, I see what I see" :cheer: B)

I've got to admit the first picture looks a bit strange, but it sure would be nice to have a nice optical zoom (as opposed to a digital one) to see what it really is. Often times when you get closer it turns out to be nothing. Time will tell.

I think you also have to be in the right frame of mind to see structures, and thus have the apocolyptic scenario sorted in your thinking.

RocketDawg - As ever you bring a scepticalism' that I admire! Sometimes perhaps I think I'm seeing too much in the images - you bring me back to "Reality" with a good ol' pich of salt - Thanks.. ;)

Thank you to everyone who has stuck by the YouTube channel and to all of our admins and forum users here on the channel.   They really have kept the website current while I have been busy taking care of things in my personal life.   I promised that the next video would be a long one and have a LOT to look at.  You can get lost in these Gigapans and I really hope that you do!  I spent a lot of time stitching these together and making sure that they were the best quality that I could get them.  SOL 1448 really has been a goldmine for anomaly hunters and those people who are just hobbiest.  I really hope you enjoy this one and expect much more to come from the latest batches of images!
