I have to admit that it has vanished into thin air. can the rover pick up objects? one of the strangest anomalies I have ever seen!! good work everyone. (is it possible that a strong wind moved it?)

I wouldn't think the wind would be capable of moving it. It can stir up sand though, so one never knows. Of course, there's no way that we would know the exact size or mass of the object, but it doesn't have much frontal area for a wind to move it, and the air is very thin there so not much force in it.

It got zapped, then brushed. I think that's it at the bottom of the frame.

Zapped, as with the laser?

Good Morning Todd,

thanks for your additional informations, I always appreciate it.

Back to the tiny object / stone. As GN and you worked out, it moved rsp. has been moved from the center to the bottom. Can this happen while or just because being zapped by the laser. Or has Curiosity own items to lift and move tiny things like that?

Sincerly

Joe

The brush likely knocked it out of the way.

I agree about the brush moving said artifact.... but why was the thing sitting upright on what can be described as a peg or mount?

Theres some very weird "rock" **cough cough** formations from 1934-1936

Thank you to everyone who has stuck by the YouTube channel and to all of our admins and forum users here on the channel.   They really have kept the website current while I have been busy taking care of things in my personal life.   I promised that the next video would be a long one and have a LOT to look at.  You can get lost in these Gigapans and I really hope that you do!  I spent a lot of time stitching these together and making sure that they were the best quality that I could get them.  SOL 1448 really has been a goldmine for anomaly hunters and those people who are just hobbiest.  I really hope you enjoy this one and expect much more to come from the latest batches of images!
