maybe I am just not aware if these images have been explained or not. looks like a rocket slowly gaining altitude at launch. please , someone clarify this for me!

That would be my first guess. Perhaps someone who is more proficient in image analysis than me will post their opinion too.

Check this out: redplanet.asu.edu/?p=6585

Apparently these are shots of Phobos taken with time exposures.

thank you so much. I knew someone would have the answer. just wondering if all the raw images are done with a lengthy time exposure? with any wind blowing dust , would that explain some of the hazy images we see?

I don't know, but it's quite possible because even at "high noon", it's darker on Mars than here, and many of the images we see look really bright. A time exposure would explain how that could be.

Are those images of the same location? Maybe they're just taken at different angles, but they don't looke the same to me.

Did you see the earlier picture that looked somewhat like a liftoff, but turned out to be a time exposure of Phobos? This could be something similar.

Thank you to everyone who has stuck by the YouTube channel and to all of our admins and forum users here on the channel.   They really have kept the website current while I have been busy taking care of things in my personal life.   I promised that the next video would be a long one and have a LOT to look at.  You can get lost in these Gigapans and I really hope that you do!  I spent a lot of time stitching these together and making sure that they were the best quality that I could get them.  SOL 1448 really has been a goldmine for anomaly hunters and those people who are just hobbiest.  I really hope you enjoy this one and expect much more to come from the latest batches of images!
