Here's an interesting article about a large crater that's filled with ice that was discovered by ESA's Mars Express.

Yes, that is pretty interesting, and located not too far from the north pole of mars at 73N. The article didn't say, but presumably both are water ice and not carbon dioxide.

This one is excellent. I have to find this one and check it out. Have never seen it. The sides of the crater are amazing as well. All sorts of geometry.

I checked out the HiRISE photograph and it seems these strange features in the bottom of the crater look like sand dunes, rather strange geology for an area close to the North Pole.
