The Planetary Database System No topics

Information about how to access the highest quality information from all of the NASA missions. All missions by law much enter their collected data into this database. They have made it hard to access for the regular user. Here we will discuss how to access the records and most important, what to do with them once you have downloaded them. Each user is different and every operating system works differently but we here at WUITS think that it is imperative for the public to understand the access that they have to this wonderful database. Example.. Most people think Curiosity Images on NASA.GOV website are true RAW images right from the space craft when in fact these are 70 percent JPEG quality images that have tons of JPEG artifacts in the background that makes it hard to see anything far away. The .IMG files along with their .LBL counter parts are 100 percent quality and strikingly different. We are just starting this in June of 2016. Bare with us.

Thank you to everyone who has stuck by the YouTube channel and to all of our admins and forum users here on the channel.   They really have kept the website current while I have been busy taking care of things in my personal life.   I promised that the next video would be a long one and have a LOT to look at.  You can get lost in these Gigapans and I really hope that you do!  I spent a lot of time stitching these together and making sure that they were the best quality that I could get them.  SOL 1448 really has been a goldmine for anomaly hunters and those people who are just hobbiest.  I really hope you enjoy this one and expect much more to come from the latest batches of images!
