There are three versions of this formation, two from sol 388 and one from sol 389. It is one of the strangest conglomerate formations I've seen, strange how the left side is perched above the ground. I think the "Panorama Point" sol 388 Mastcam image looks the best, here is a version processed from the PDS .img for the subject, enhanced enlargement below.

Interesting object. Quite well formed for an act of nature one would think.

Todd: Any idea as to the size of that formation?

It's just a guess based on how far it is from the rover but I would say 0.65 meters or around two feet across.

In the top picture, there's a strange looking structure on the right hand side that I would almost swear in man-made, or perhaps by an early Martian. It's in really good shape and has the most detail of any aritfact picture I've ever seen. It has to be just a pile of rocks though. Pareidolia can fool a person sometimes. :P :P

Love all the blue rocks in the bottom picture.

I see that, perhaps the Martians were developing an Earth rover program.:P

Thank you to everyone who has stuck by the YouTube channel and to all of our admins and forum users here on the channel.   They really have kept the website current while I have been busy taking care of things in my personal life.   I promised that the next video would be a long one and have a LOT to look at.  You can get lost in these Gigapans and I really hope that you do!  I spent a lot of time stitching these together and making sure that they were the best quality that I could get them.  SOL 1448 really has been a goldmine for anomaly hunters and those people who are just hobbiest.  I really hope you enjoy this one and expect much more to come from the latest batches of images!
