Any clipping takes detail out of the lights / whites, so I rarely use it. With the full range image I can adjust the density / contrast later in PS.

I get ya, To use the contrast slider alone would be useless - I try and use the curves to bring contrast up or down in a particular range or channel.... and tend to work with multiple layers brought together near the finalizing.. I am a rank amateur so subtlety sometimes is not applied... :huh:

Hi Marty,

Sorry been a few days since logging on, Christmas / family / work etc...

Sol 1866 is completely natural, nothing added - I altered colours for a more "earth like look" and i enlarges it slightly with sharpness added to one layer and blended 50 / 50 with a non sharpened identical layer.

I would not add anything for fun, it wouldn't be right - plus no-one would take me seriously if I started to fake anything...

Thank you to everyone who has stuck by the YouTube channel and to all of our admins and forum users here on the channel.   They really have kept the website current while I have been busy taking care of things in my personal life.   I promised that the next video would be a long one and have a LOT to look at.  You can get lost in these Gigapans and I really hope that you do!  I spent a lot of time stitching these together and making sure that they were the best quality that I could get them.  SOL 1448 really has been a goldmine for anomaly hunters and those people who are just hobbiest.  I really hope you enjoy this one and expect much more to come from the latest batches of images!
