I suppose if one begins cataloging all the obvious building blocks scattered about the planet’s surface, boredom would soon become Public Enemy #1. There are just so many of them that it seems patently obvious to any researcher that stone buildings, built by intelligent humanoids, were subjected to some unimaginable catastrophe that littered the (often very heavy) remains all across the drifting sands. That’s why I only share ones that have some unusual feature. In today’s Context View, one such block just popped out of the center background.

Let’s take a closer look.

The Detail View reveals the amazingly-clean edges of a triangular block, either very pitted with age or perhaps sporting some incomprehensible carving. I mean, c’mon! What do you have to have staring you in the face to convince you there was (and is) intelligent life on Mars?

In back and to the right is another block showing finished edges for all to see. But what’s that in front of the Triangle Block? Granted, it could be a trick of light and shadow. But to me that looks like a metal ring mounted to the underlying stone.

But forget the extra stuff and just look at the Triangle Block. Then tell me with a straight face that it formed as a result of wind and sand. Right.

SO, HOW DO I VIEW X3D STEREO?”

Simple! While viewing the stereo pair at a comfortable distance, gently cross your eyes (no eye-strain) until you perceive three images all the same width. The one in the center is in 3D. Just relax into it and your eyes will automatically bring it into focus. Once you have it, you will never forget how to do it. Kinda like riding a bicycle…

Today’s Context View has some strange goodies scattered about. Let’s get to it.

In Detail View #1, we find a beautifully-scalloped building block. Even without the scalloping on its front edge, it’d be a great example of a block shaped by intelligence. The scalloping just drives home the point with a jackhammer: intelligently made!

To the immediate left, a beautiful triangular block with a lip running along all visible edges and of course, recessed center portions. Directly in front of the black triangle what appears to be a ring pokes through the sand.

In the lower right-hand corner we have what could be a broken hinge. Besides the obvious right angles, notice the two protrusions on the left side. That looks like hinge work to my eyes.

Above that, two more sharply-defined blocks make it clear that somewhere nearby, a building collapsed.

Moving to Detail View #2 we find a rather prosaic example of a building block. Gently-radiused with decorative beadwork along the edge, it was perhaps part of a tower at one time. Directly above and to the right, another right-angled piece struggles to break through the overburdening sand.

Detail View #3 is a doozy! It seems to be a wall segment that somehow survived the general collapse. Arguments can be made for decorative carving on the third section down from the top. See the bullseye on the right end of it?

What gets me though, is the squarish piece resting on the ledge to the left of the wall section. Protruding somewhat rudely from its center is what we would call here on earth a Shiva Lingam. Is this from a fertility temple? Merely decorative in nature? What purpose did it serve?

How is it possible to have such clear-cut evidence just within reach, then to purposely turn away to examine some nondescript rock several meters further along? It’s staggering to me.

NOT BY CHANCE” by MarsX3D

Occasionally you run across an anomaly that is so clear-cut, so concise that it virtually shuts down any further argument. Today’s Context View contains just such an item and lies in the lower right-hand corner. Before going to the zoom however, take a gander at that beautiful blue sky in the background.

For years, NASA put that pukey red-brown color over every single photograph, terrified that we poor unwashed masses might discover that Mars is actually quite Earth-like in many respects. Those of us who did color corrections based upon the rovers’ calibration discs had already known for years that the sky was no different than Earth’s. Then slowly, NASA began to release images showing the sky as it is. Some thought it part of the “slow disclosure” process. Others, that budgetary considerations meant less time for their typical tomfoolery with the publicly-funded and publicly-owned images that they purposely issued in low-res, off-register jpegs. Who knows? Whatever the actual motivation might be, just be assured that despite the effort to shunt attention away from the red planet, Mars has blue sky, clouds, rain, wind, running liquid water, trees, animals, humanoids and (gasp!) - a breathable atmosphere!

Rant finished (for now).

Take a look at the Detail View. How crisp and clean do you want your evidence to be? Let’s make a list. Dead center: a frame-like box weathered by wind and sand but clearly, manufactured. Just below it, a rectangular piece with two knobs on the left end. To the left of that: a square, black block covered with carving. Along the top of the block, a white piece curved to fit around the top edge. Just off the right corner of the latter: a cubical piece half-buried in the sand, carving on the visible surfaces. Directly above it: a black, rectangular piece hollowed out and appearing to be made of corroded metal. And finally, resting inside the right corner of the black box, a perfectly-rectangular piece with a lip that appears to be made either of aluminum or a completely different stone than the surrounding geology.

That’s a whole lot of stuff in one small area! And guess what?

This is NOT BY CHANCE! Researchers the world over find clear evidence of a vanished civilization on Mars as part of the daily routine. While I only present the items which seem “crisp” and clear-cut to me, those that are a bit more ambivalent but that I know in my heart to represent legitimate evidence of past civilization number quite literally, in the thousands.

The numbers are on our side, folks.

Today’s Context View is loaded with anomalies. We’ll concentrate for now on the blocks in the lower left-hand corner, which are not at all shy about showing their ninety-degree angles and tell-tale shadows.

Moving in for our Detail View, we find rocks bearing the unmistakable signs of having been worked. The closer block has had the center portion carved out in a square. On the left side, what might be a decorative motif blends into what looks like decorative vining...or snakes? Numerous other smaller right-angled anomalies lie scattered about, half-buried. In back, a rounded cube has been hollowed out, apparently completely so given the blackness of the space inside it.

One cannot help but think of the anomalous stones of Pumapunku in Peru. Is there a connection here, or is it just imaginary?

Now look at the locator dot on the lower right side. What do YOU see? I see a box with a curved portion extending from the left side, all symmetrical in arrangment, thickness and material.

Once again we have demonstrated that the Martians knew their stuff when it came to working with stone.

Wish we could say the same about our sense of exploratory curiosity…

BEAUTIFUL BAR” by MarsX3D

Curiosity Sol 111 M-100 W PDS by Neville Thompson

Today’s Context View shows another debris-laden hillside from Curiosity’s earlier travels. An unusually-regular shape in the lower left demands closer examination.

The Detail View reveals a flawless-symmetrical bar perhaps six feet long. Its curved top and bottom mirror each other perfectly and overall, it reminds one of a semi-circular file many of us have in our workshops.

What in the world is this thing? The fact that it’s sitting atop the sand and shows no sand or other debris on its surface leads one to surmise it might be a flying vehicle of some sort. I’m more inclined to think, however, that given the proximity of at least two other anomalies that it belongs to a grouping that is possibly industrial in nature.

Once your eyes adjust to the exposure, take a look at the two locator dots. Just in back of the bar is a square item featuring a beveled edge on its front and a cylindrical slice of metal(?) on top in the center.

Now take a look at the rearmost item. It’s not much to look at, kind of conical in shape, but look carefully at the right end: it has a circular opening with a knob in the center!

When you find three anomalous items in one frame, the laws of chance pretty much dictate that there’s more going on here than “just rocks”.

Worth going over for a closer look? Not if you’re from NASA!

PAVER & GLYPH” by MarsX3D

Curiosity Sol 1429 M-100 S - PDS by Neville Thompson

These two classic anomalies have been covered in depth by myself and other anomalists in the past, the difference here being these views are the first time 3D rendering has been applied.

Our context view is loaded with strangeness, but we will focus on the two main attractions for today.

Detail View #1 is a closer look at what I have chosen to call a “paver”, due to its resemblance to stones of various thicknesses and shapes that we utilize for patios, walkways, cobblestone streets and so forth. Its sharply-triangular shape is arresting in its perfection. Its depth and thickness suggest this was intended for load bearing purposes, perhaps a heavily-traveled road. Think of the Appian Way in Rome, where Roman engineers installed overly-thick pavers not because semis or heavy equipment were rolling over it daily, but because they intended their highway to last forever. Indeed, it is still in daily use thousands of years after its construction. Of course, the Romans didn’t have to deal with a global catastrophe as Mars did, just hoards of Goths, who found the Romans’ well-built roads advantageous to their invasion plans.

Detail View #2 is a real classic. This huge slab of stone bears a beautiful bas-relief glyph in its center, so clear and precise as to render meaningless the mewling protests of nay-sayers. What is truly fascinating however, is the way the substrate bends up in back, as if it were made of metal. Perhaps the titanic forces that ripped this facade element from the building it graced bent the metal backing? Just speculation, of course. But how does one explain what we see here?

Before leaving this view, take a good look at the triangular piece in the upper left-hand corner. Uniform in thickness, comprised of several layers, it seems to be made of corroded metal.

This entire gigapan will keep the serious anomalist busy for hours!
